I'm looking to get into Jean-Philippe Toussaint. What's a good entry level read?

Turns out it's definitely The Bathroom, in case anyone was wondering.

I could read about this shit all day long:
Quote
Luciano Floridi on the migration of humanity to the infosphere

"We are witnessing an epochal, unprecedented migration of humanity from its ordinary
habitat to the infosphere itself, not least because the latter is absorbing the
former. As a result, humans will be inforgs among other (possibly artificial)
inforgs and agents operating in an environment that is friendlier to
informational creatures. Once digital immigrants like us are replaced by digital
natives like our children, the e-migration will become complete and future
generations will increasingly feel deprived, excluded, handicapped, or poor
whenever they are disconnected from the infosphere, like fish out of water.

New York Times Book Review

"Not so much a book, more like a stream of coloured toilet roll thrown over a bridge by an alcoholic."
Quote
The Times:

"At no point did any word in this "book" even vaguely begin to resemble a book word."

I probably have too much to say about this for my own good. Let’s just say I agree. I’ve never forgotten anyone I’ve published. Voila, the opposite seems to be de rigeur for the “writey hipster latte cunts” you speak of. They are manning a clickbait cottage industry, oversaturating the market with tepid, toothless writing for its own sake. To be the man, you gotta beat the man, so while everyone goes along, I’m seeding a mutiny in the rear guard to rectify this. Life is warfare - Seneca.

And to quote one of my favorite writers, Appropouture, one who doesn’t shy away from hateful reflections of the zeitgeist, “they are devils in the stairwell. They are angels in the trees.”
