About the Man – Keko Prijatelj

About the man who was growing a nail on
The right big toe for picking the nose
Big and supple

Eats blades
Of grass jumps over
Trunks eats trees
Chews bark
Jumps over the books

Sacred scrolls written by a jealous soul
Swaying on the surface and floating away
Singing scarcely

Of a nose
As big as the ear that
Covers half of his skull
As big as
An orb residing in the mind

Screeching with their slippery voices the story
Of not calling the mine-digger a nose-picker
To his reefal face

Only the Earth
Silently embracingly
Oppresses him
