It was all for me. – Robin Stephens

He had traced me all the way here he said, followed me. He said he had come from a land far, far away, he said.
There was a beautiful woman.
Then he said something nasty, something really dangerous.
Then the dog was running in its sleep and they were laughing at it. They were in hysterics. They were crying it was so funny.
Then the dog got up, slammed into the wall.
Then they were all saying those horrible things, those really dangerous things. The same things, but they were all saying it now.
Then there was that job. I don’t think I will go for it, I’m really not qualified and the job market is just so competitive now anyway.
Then we stopped for food. It was really nice, they did a great job in that kitchen. They cooked it so well and it only took a minute. The best bit was, that I didn’t have to pay. It was all free! I liked it.
Then I saw something really bad.
Then it was time for shopping. Looking at the clothes, the shoes, the bags, the jewellery. It was all displayed so nicely all together like that.
Then we all started laughing because it was time for the comedy show. And oh, how we laughed. We were all laughing at that funny man! He did some great crowd work and I would recommend his show.
Then you’ll never guess who I bumped into. Yeah! Her, from that film, that one with the woman in love with that man but it all goes wrong. Yeah! I know!
Then I learnt how they make flip flops. They punch them out of big sheets of foam, and the machine cuts a few holes into the foot shaped foam, the sole bit, and they put the rubber straps into those holes and its all done.
Then I got to see that faraway place, that land all the way over there. It was so warm and so sunny and the trees were all green and the sea was bright, bright blue. I really want to go on holiday there.
