Pest Control – Gabby Lipkin
April 29, 2026
They chopped off both my arms on Monday
Donated ‘em to the homeless shelter
Could you ever love an animal like that?
Insulated in fiberglass pieces?
Carpenter bees boring holes into wood
Like propylene carving out my tonsils
Collecting chewed-up food in the crevices
My mouth turns to Nagasaki.
And there’s an Onlyfans girl on my TV screen
Dancing dreamily to an old country tune
I tell her I think I’m turning into swine
She taps my social out in threes.
This summer feels a lot like birdseed
Iconoclastic and slightly damp
Do you know where I’ve been lurking?
Behind your knees, I lick your sweat.
And they’ll take my legs on Tuesday
It’s some newfound sleight-of-hand
I don’t linger more than I have to.
It dissolves like sugar in the end.
