Reflections – Levi Laws
April 6, 2026
I,
In the corner hide
Under mountains of smooth wrinkles.
Chipped as everyone else,
But only in a way I could be.
Will anyone look past
The upside down reflection
On top of me?
I,
Who has no visible price tag,
who is too small
to carve their soul into.
Will I fit into the hands of God?
Will I be grandiose enough?
Is my shape made unique by these chips?
I,
Whose insides are ready to spill
Onto the living room newspaper.
Cover the obituary section,
Be front page news
If they will let me.
Do I weigh enough to be
held by you?
Can you afford me?
Find me,
when my brothers and sister
have been taken.
Different, but the same,
hidden in the corner.
