Shade tree gestating
Thin trunk. Ants crawl over skin
Caress soft bark thin stick
Leaves blacken crumble
Chest splits. Unfolds a dripping
Hole lets bugs crawl in 
Bruised star 
Tree branches around
Leaf buds just sprouted
Died and come again
Bruise star sits in fog
c o lo r s a long
Simple pieces remain
     settle and
Deteriorate
Into nothing 
Facing star
Starlight piercing nothing
Sprouting glistening shoots
Unfurling flowers
