THE DARK APOCALYPSE – Binnaz Deniz Yildiz

I saw Him at the edge of my bed.
My eyes add a seventh dimension to the lamp hanging from the ceiling.
That rigid visage within its luminous fur in the darkness!
Eyes of a Siamese cat… Divine candles on my metallic walls…

Rotten pipes at the head of a grave… Their corpses in the soil…

My feet! Cold, stubborn, arrogant, vile, disgusting!

— I beg of you, I am ready to sacrifice my soul to you, demon of things!

My bed… From my waist down, letters are in a military formation…
A dark solution on my lips, my hunger attacks the water on my desk!

And there he is… Him… Transparent and already present.
Just lying there.
I ran my hands over his torso. ISRAFEL!
The pipe between his teeth is horrific!
He is establishing his kingdom of pitch-black carnivorous cannibals!

I snatched the Trumpet from his petrified body.

In one swift motion! Without asking, watching the pitiful beauty of his death!
This beauty is destroying me!

I am trembling… From my fingertips to my very blood!

I pressed the Trumpet into the burning ashtray.
It vanished, just like that!

Cross-examined, aphrodisiac…

Then, that photograph in the corner of the room… Munch… THE SCREAM!
It leapt out of the painting, screaming.
Its ears are on its hips…

It knelt before me. It asked me to bless it.
As it did, it turned its head from side to side.
It pinned its ears to its mind.
At that moment, it took on the form of Israfel.

Munch… Israfel… Hallucination… And I…
Munch took surrender of my soul burning in the fire.
I am his hair, his neck, his veins…
S i l e n c e…. The only raw truth!

Ice-cold and fire…
I am surrendering my own soul, to an ashtray.
Long live the dark apocalypse!
