THE SPIRIT OF MY BLOOD – Binnaz Deniz Yildiz
April 1, 2026
I tore off the dome of reality, a dense witch hunt, a butimar bird beneath my tongue
Nostradamus’ prophecy is my shadow. I am the composition of a frayed planet
Mozart’s Hiroshima unfolds in your eyes, I am a human mind made of reeds
I weep on the shore of my church of dreams, the announcement of my scream is loaded onto a ship
I am Jacob’s handkerchief on the cliffs. I am silent, my memory reeks of tremors
I burned my hands upon my body, transformed into a dwarf with glass hair
The new world order became my nationality, I am the schizoaffective past of a savage
Buildings are erected upon my torso, I am hiding in the last hole
The graveyard of the nameless will swallow me, their ages are of Sodom and Gomorrah
I am drowning with a devastated face, pavements crush my eyelashes
A juggler plays with my head, I make love to my loneliness
My God, I know not whose god I am. I created myself, in defiance of myself
In my parallel life, I am a tar desert, the lawlessness of Archimedes
I am rotting from the unknown within the eczema of my heart
One night, I annex my blood to my soul…
