TRIGONOMETRIC SUICIDE – Binnaz Deniz Yildiz

He pleaded, “Forgive me, my God!”

He dampened the trumpets playing in the middle of his chest with the tongue of flames. In his gaze, the torso of a steel building left its secret-jar roots into the earth! In his sleep, he gathered the freckles of a red-haired child. He drew them all onto walls made of dough. He built a massive temple with the intoxication of trigonometry. Numbers… Deception… An algorithm from the soul!

My steps / Our steps / That woman’s and mine /
And that grasshopper-bodied horse’s / also / mingled into one another.

Forgive me, my God.

I washed myself in the cemetery of the dead. The voice of my father screaming, “Memorize the 15th Psalm! You filth! Wash yourself!…”

I watched my childhood through a hole. The equation of the movie Life is Beautiful was still in our minds. The sorceress dealt the cards / I saw her in the full moon. She was crushing a bloody lamb / with the center of triangles. She climbed to the top of the mountain / a windy dream…

Forgive me, my God! And he released himself into the dark void…
